Layers Game makes you work for every word. This daily brain teaser begins with four different mini-games, each hiding a word that will matter later. You might breeze through one puzzle and get stuck on the next, so the opening round keeps things interesting without letting you settle into a single routine.
LetterLock asks you to figure out a secret five-letter word, while Anagram gives you scrambled letters to put back in order. Crossword tests your ability to solve short clues, and Word Search sends you hunting through a grid of letters. Finish all four, and their answers become part of a much bigger puzzle.
Sixteen Words, Four Hidden Connections
The second stage is where Layers Game really starts playing tricks on you. Your four unlocked words join twelve others on a board containing sixteen words in total. Every word belongs to one of four groups, each containing four related answers. The connection might be a shared theme, a familiar expression, or a pattern that isn't immediately obvious.
Select four words and submit your guess to see whether you've found a correct group. You usually get only three mistakes, so random guessing can end a promising attempt surprisingly quickly. Some words seem to fit together perfectly until you notice that one belongs somewhere else. These red herrings are what make the final board more challenging than it first appears.
Can You Spot the Hardest Layer?
Groups are often marked by difficulty colors, starting with Amber for the easier connections and reaching Void for the trickiest ones. Solving an obvious set can help narrow down the remaining possibilities, but the tougher categories may require looking at familiar words from an entirely different angle.
Because Layers Game offers a fresh daily challenge, you can return each day for another mix of wordplay and deduction.
