About Size It Up

A silhouette can be surprisingly hard to judge when there's no ruler or measurement beside it. Size It Up turns that little problem into a puzzle, asking you to estimate the real-world size of an object using nothing but a visual comparison. It sounds easy at first, but a small mistake in proportion can cost you quite a few points.

Trust Your Eyes

Each round gives you a red silhouette and a smaller blue object to use as a reference. The blue object stays the same size, so you'll need to compare the silhouette against it and work out how large the mystery object should be. A dotted guide marks the dimension to focus on, giving you a starting point for your estimate.

You can drag the red shape around the board and resize it until the proportions look right. On mobile devices, pinching with two fingers is another way to adjust its size. Some objects need a much bigger estimate than others, so zooming out can help when the silhouette starts taking up too much space.

Five Guesses, One Final Score

Size It Up gives you five rounds to put your visual judgment to the test. Once you submit an estimate, the game reveals the actual measurement and shows how close you came. You'll see the difference between your guess and the real size, including the percentage you were off by.

Each round can earn up to 100 points, making 500 the highest possible total. Getting close is satisfying, but even a guess that looks reasonable can turn out to be surprisingly inaccurate. The results give you a chance to notice where your sense of scale needs a little work.

Bigger Than It Looks

There's no need to memorize measurements or solve complicated equations in Size It Up. The challenge comes from judging proportions and deciding when a shape looks right. Its 3D version adds another way to explore the same idea, while the five-round format makes it easy to try again and see whether your next score improves.
